When in Paris find a kitchen
This book is quite a mixture of very nice recipes, chatty culinary history, and personal takes on many things Parisian and French. One could argue that another French cookbook is just excess, particularly to those of us who have large cookbook collections. But after working with a few of his personalized recipes, I find that Lebovitz's cookbook is not only humorously fun, but it also offers real, practical suggestions by a chef.
