From the first time I entered the weekly contest, I was always in suspense and anticipation for the results to come the following week...and of course with a new contest ready to test my wit. It was fun, and more often than not, my name appeared on the Results page along with others who had been selected, and my getting the opportunity to read their entries, their thoughts on the forever challenging lead in sentence. Sitting here at my desk in Mondragone, I thought it would be great fun to put my entries together and have them printed in book form by a publisher for my grandchildren in America. My submissions are contained within this book, with their weekly contest number transcribed for continuity.
