This was a fantastic story! I?m looking forward to reading all the Chanse MacLeod books! I wish there was one or two sex scenes, but the talk about sex will have to do. Chanse MacLeod is an ex-cop who has moved recently to New Orleans, and is working as a PI. His 6-week old relationship with Paul is starting to raise questions. Is he a sky slut ? Chanse is approached by Mike at the gym to take up a blackmail case. But when they meet later that afternoon to discuss the details further, he finds Mike?s dead body. Venus Casanova is investigating the murder as a hate crime. I love Venus! I?m so happy to have her back! Chanse tells himself that he doesn?t investigate murders, but is questioning a ton of suspects. Everyone is gossiping about Mike, and not good things either. No one liked Mike. Proving New Orleans is a small town where everyone is in everyone else?s business. He gets himself shot at, and his apartment is broken into, where his long-time best friend Paige is shot. When he discovers who the King of Rex is, he comes to the heart of the blackmail and escort ring.
