Yet the wisdom was meant to wean us off bad habits or steer us onward to better lives than that of which they lived.Studying some of the renditions though, it appeared to me that, with all good intentions, the elderly had profoundly studied the words of the Bible, listened to the preacher on Sunday mornings, and combined mental brawns, wit, and understanding with their own application of ruling their household.
