The third Richard Hannay book, following The 39 Steps and Greenmantle. The action moves from Englans to Scotland to the continent at a fast pace. Strong morality dominates through out. An excellent story that keeps the reader involved. One caution however. Some strong national stereotypes and prejudices may be disturbing. One must remember that this book was written early in the 20th century and demonstrates some of the thinking of that era.
