These were originally made in 1966 when Musical Heritage Society was still producing a significant amount of recordings on its own, in addition to licensing albums that originated overseas for U.S. release. Nadia Reisenberg and Artur Balsam were both first-tier pianists who are best known for their work in secondary pursuits -- Reisenberg as an accompanist to her close friend, thereminist Clara Rockmore, and Balsam as a piano player in literally countless chamber outings within various groups and backing up soloists. The Bridge CD contains all of the music issued on MHS LPs 632 and 718 save one selection, Mozart's Andante and Variations in G, K. 501; minus this recording, the Bridge disc comes in at 77:33, so obviously there was no room to accommodate...
