This book is an intesting read if you enjoy the technical end of computers. They "dumb" it down for those of us who are not chip savy, but it could lose you inparts if you really don't know computers. Otherwise it is a fun novel about the possibilities (amazing and frightening) of artificial intelligence. The story ties itself together by joining the human and computer bad guys to further each of their careers. Slow in some parts but never dull for a second. Very likeable characters with subtle and not so subtle weaknesses that make them more human than your average novel heroes. Easier to join with them and feel like they are one of us.
