Mordin does a good job of explaining the relationship of time to the performance of thoroughbreds. While he mainly deals with Europeon & Austrailian horse racing, there is enough information to transfer to American racing, as well. The crux of the book deals with how to create and adjust figures in order to explain a horses performance,and the multitude of differences between racetracks and their nuances.
