Seller's Description:
Illustrated by Moran, Doug. Very Good. 0914400126. 148 pages. "The sole intention of this book is to preserve a dying art. An American tradition from 1776 to 1976. A sacred technology of civilized man traced back as far as recorded history. A rapidly fading folklore, waning in the automated, mass-produced world of today."-from page III. "For the connoisseur of home brew"-from back cover. Clean and unmarked with moderate wear. Nice working copy.; 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall; Moonshine Sour Mash Alcohol Brewing Fermentation Still Aging Bottling Moonshine.
This was truly written to pass on the simple methods of the old time moonshiners. I would not recommend it as a sole resource for someone who is beginning their distilling hobby. There is much more information (distilling science & proper procedures) to be had in more current publications and web sites. However it does help one to understand that making quality moonshine is a somewhat flexible procedure and one does not have to be a chemist with a laboratory to pull it off.
