The Khac Chi Ensemble is named after his founder, Ho Khac Chi, a virtuoso of the dàn bau. But he a multi-instrumentalist as well, including being a singer. It is the same with his wife, Hoang Ngoc Bich. The pieces found on this CD come from different people of Vietnam, from Vietnamese themselves (and from different regions), the Xa and Meo of Northern Vietnam, as well as pieces from different styles of music, and more.
