II A Chapter tracing the history of the social economy group to its origin in the classification of the Paris exposition of 18 5 5, presenting some of the salient characteristics of the exhibits in this group in 1855 and at later expositions, and Closing with an account of the plans for the social economy exhibit at the Paris exposition of 1900. III A Chapter containing a brief introduction to American social economics. This chapter has been prepared with two purposes in view: I) to present an outline of the system atic classification which has been used in collecting the social economy exhibit; and 2) to present an outline of the plan for the series of social economy monographs.
