I visited Costa Rica this winter (2007). I read everything that I could get my hands on before my trip but most of it was your generic travel book. While in Costa Rica I was told by ex-pats who live there that I must read a book called MONKEYS ARE MADE OF CHOCOLATE. Sounded like a childrens book to me. Well it is just a grand book! It made me laugh and it made me think. It's a collection of essays by Jack Ewing about a plantation that he assists in reverting back to the rainforest it once was. I highly recommend this book.
