This book is full of nuggets of courage, enthusiasm and dedication. Early Latter Day Saint (Mormon) missionaries experienced hunger and fatigue as they trudged on foot spreading the gospel among people who were very often misinformed about who "Mormons" really were. Often they met armed hostilities and dissapointments. Travelling without "purse or script" they depended upon friendly people who had little enough of their own to share. I enjoyed this book while visiting a friend. It made wonderful and inspiring reading and was very hard to put down. I ordered it from Alibris so that I could have my very own copy. I encourage all who have a chance, to read it and be encouraged by it; even if they are of another faith.
