I am a fan of Ann Ross and her Miss Julia stories. They are all light enough to be fun but with their own reality which very quickly scoops the reader into. "Hits the Road" does have some close to "hard to imagine" scenes, but they are written with a little "tongue-in-cheek" and a smile, which this reader quickly accepted.
