Brooke in full morocco binding. Â This biography of John Milton covers topics such as 'The Early Life of Milton', 'Milton's Secretaryship' and 'Paradise Lost'. Â John Milton was an English poet and intellectual of the seventeenth century. His is one of the best known English poets. His epic poem 'Paradise Lost' (1667) was written at a time of political tension and religious upheaval in Britain and is his best known work. Â Stopford A. Brooke was an Irish churchman and author. Â With gilt to the spine, boards and fore edge. Â In full morocco binding. Externally there is some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine which has resulted in some very minor wear to the leather in this area. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot. Very Good.
