Very Good. First edition. Violet cloth lettered in gilt; 190 pps. plus one leaf of ads at rear; index; illustrated with full page plates in black and white. Biographical work on Victorian era artist Sir John Everett Millais with special reference to his exhibition at the Royal SAcadamy in 1898. Gilt lettering still bright but fade to the spine strip and with chips to the cloth at head and foot of the spine.
