The half-title page bears a lengthy and playful (non-authorial) gift inscription, continued briefly on rear endpage. Good. No dust jacket. Green cloth boards with mild to moderate edge-wear. Contents clean and bright, though pages 68-69 slightly browned where a news article was once stored. The back of the front endpaper bears a bookplate reading, "Property of Houston Audubon Society, Sarah Emmott Library". The ONLY other mark is a small inked number written tight against the gutter on the title page. No external markings. (This book was purchased directly from the Houston Audubon Society). 282 pages. Illustrated by the author.
