Ein schneller und zuverl???ssiger Nachweis von MRSA ist unerl???sslich, um die optimale Behandlung von Patienten mit Staphylokokkeninfektionen zu gew???hrleisten und die Infektionskontrolle zu gew???hrleisten. In der vorliegenden Studie wurden klinische S. aureus-Isolate aus vier Krankenh???usern gesammelt. Alle best???tigten S. aureus-Isolate wurden f???r antimikrobielle Empfindlichkeitstests aufbereitet, die mit der modifizierten Kirby-Bauer-Technik durchgef???hrt wurden. Der positive pr???diktive Wert der Tests zur Bestimmung von MRSA anhand der MHK war h???her als bei der Scheibendiffusion. Es wurde der Schluss gezogen, dass die Oxacillin-Resistenz anhand der MHK zuverl???ssiger war als die Scheibendiffusion zur Bestimmung von MRSA-Isolaten.
