First published in Prague in 1934; this is a Good only copy of the First American Edition, translated from the origial Czech by M. & R. Weatherall. Blue cloth binding with titling in silver. Clean text; 256 pages. Contemporary (1942) signature on the FFEP. Unfortunately, a rather disreputable copy. Bumped, and the front gutter has split to expose the webbing; the spine has darkened, is rubbed at the bottom, with a chip to the top. Margins are also darkened, and there is a small ding to the front cover. A reading copy.

The dustjacket is bright and unclipped, with the original $2.00 price, but shows some edgewear, with some chipping and a closed tear on the rear; at some time the top edge was rolled over, and about 1/8" of the top front panel and head of the spine is missing. in an archival plastic protector. A superior copy of this rare work from the early Twentieth-century avant-garde.
