Very Good in Very Good jacket. No statement of edition, but key letters on copyright page are G-Z, (July-1950). Black boards with gilt on spine. Name and date (Sept. '50) on front flyleaf. Near Fine. Dust jacket has light wear to top & bottom edges on front, as well as at spine head & heel. An attractive copy. Budenz was a labor activist and prime supporter of the United States communist party, who later returned to his early roots in Catholicism. He renounced the party and positioned himself as a strong anti-communist advocate. which included his part as advisor to Senator Joseph R. McCarthy. His actions led to the conviction and deportation of several communist party members.
