Book Very RARE copy of this "memoirs" of, and by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, early 19th century German painter, novelist, dramatist, poet, humanist, scientist, philosopher, and for ten years Chief Minister of State for the Duchy of Weimar-whose influence was felt for the entire next century. This copy has mdoerate exterior wear, marks, and fading; inner hinges are cracked; rear endpaper is torn. However the text block is VG and overall the book is in Good condition for nearly 200 years old!
