Considering that mediation has received greater legal visibility, it is essential to clarify and encourage its greater and better application. In this study, we look at the main legislative changes on the subject and reflect on the importance and need for dialogue and cooperation between parents in order to achieve the best interests of children and adolescents when custody is established, and therefore the practice of mediation can be an excellent ally.
