John Riddell was the pseudonym of humorist Corey Ford. The book is tightly bound in orange paper-covered illustrated boards. Light edge wear, spotting and fading to spine titles. The endpapers and early pages show light foxing and some spots; the text itself remains clean and unmarked. The unclipped ($2.00 net. ) dust jacket shows fading at spine, folds and rear and light chipping and small closed tears. An unusual piece of Chicago bookselling history.
