I would recommend this book only as part of the series on the McCaffertys. By itself, there is not a ton of substance - except as a romance novel. The back story revolves around his sister and his brothers while they try to solve the mysteries surrounding the nephew and the murder attempts on the sister Randi. Along the way, he finds an unlikely and unexpected romance. This book is strictly about the romance as there is not the suspense as there is in the Slade, Thorne and Randi books in the series. Read it as part of the series to find out the scope of the characters and their stories. Alone, not worth the read unless you only like romance. This one is just not as substantial as the other 3.
