One of my top 3 books of all time! Love this book. The detail is perfect. Not too hung up on minutiae yet detailed enough to keep the reader very, very engaged. The author sticks to the story with no sidebar rambling into the politics of the time. Very highly recommend.

Excellent Book!!!
Wow! This is a great read! Swanson has done an absolutely incredible job putting together the facts from various sources which are now available. This is the most incredible book about the Lincoln assasination and subsequent search for Booth I have read! Fantastic!

I have to agree with the other reviewers on this book. I've been to the museums regarding the event but Swanson does an excellent job describing the events that transpired before and after the assassination and really brings them strongly to the reader. After reading this book I feel it is remarkable they caught Booth at all. One would think that Swanson's extensive research would lead to a dry book but he has crafted an exciting story that anyone can follow and enjoy.

Great read
Very informative book on Booth's movements before and after Lincoln's assassination. New material I had never read before. Starts a little slow but quickly grabs the reader. You have a hard time putting the book down. Author put his hours, days, years in to write this book! Highly recommend!
