Und zum Schluss ist das sed gaude potius Tui nati vivunt felicius mit engster Anlehnung ubernommen. Ich halte es deshalb nicht fur unwahrscheinlich, dass auch das Ergo gaude ursprunglich dastand; um so wirkungsvoller hebt sich dann das Folgende hervor: Quomodo gaudebo? Auch die erste Klage muss wohl ursprunglich der Kachelklage von Limoges ahnlich gewesen sein; der Eingang 0 dulces innocentium acies (vgl. Limoges: O dulces filii) scheint noch darauf hinzuweisen. Diesen Text zerlegte Laon in der oben geschilderten Weise, um einen lebendigeren Wechsel zwischen Rede und Gegenrede zu gewinnen. O. nahm jenes Verspaar, das mit dem Ruf Heu einsetzt, in die erste Klage hinuber, um so seine Auswahl aus der Freisinger Vorlage zu bereichern.
