I am someone who typically does not like sequels to Phantom of the Opera because to me it just doesn't work, or people screw it up, or it always just ends up being Erik/Christine and/or Erik looks like 2004 film Gerik. However, this was a breath a fresh air. Despite the few flaws that I have found, overall this is a great read! Jennifer Linforth really knows her stuff! Its obvious she studied Leroux's book very well and knows what works and what doesn't! If you're a Leroux Phangtom phan this is a great book to read!
