In addition to his famous Expressionist images of architecture, the publication presents all the facets of his oeuvre and stations of his life based on the latest research. With some 140 paintings, drawings, caricatures, watercolours, woodcuts, photographs and objects from all creative phases, the volume presents a comprehensive picture of Feininger's work which is also examined for its topicality.
