A fine budget reissue from Madacy Entertainment, 1999's Love in the 60's mostly steers clear of the usual suspects (although the Dixie Cups' "Chapel of Love" gets its umpteenth reissue) in favor of relative rarities and classic one-hit wonders. Though there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to the sequencing, the 12 tracks, including classics like the Casinos' "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye," Gene Pitney's "Half Heaven, Half Heartache," and Dee Clark's "Raindrops," are uniformly excellent.
