Some selections, such as Henry Mancini's "Peter Gunn" and Lalo Schifrin's "Mission Blues," both instrumentals, explicitly evoke television series, but for the most part this is a collection of nightclub favorites put over with appropriate swagger, whether it's Vic Damone doing "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" or Mike Douglas weaving through the horn charts on "I'd Climb the Highest Mountain."
