En 1608 vuelve a la Nueva Espa???a, al parecer en el s???quito del obispo Fray Garcia Guerra Al a???o siguiente, obtiene la licenciatura en leyes por la Universidad de M???jico. Procur???, en vano, ganar algunas c???tedras. En 1612 habia muerto su m???s probable protector, Garcia Guerra. En mayo de 1613 a???n estaba Alarc???n en m???jico._no sabemos cu???ndo se traslad??? a Espa???a por segun da vez. Ya en 1615 aparece en Madrid, donde vino a pretender, fiado, sobre todo, en los ine ritos de su prosapia.
