Although Looking Out My Window doesn't quite reach the same heights as Carl Weathersby's debut, Don't Lay Your Blues on Me, that's merely a relative judgment -- the album remains an engaging piece of modern blues. Weathersby draws from both the Delta and Chicago traditions, creating a nice fusion.
