This is a very readable account of the Liberator in combat in WWII in both the Pacific and European theaters.
Interspersed with accounts of combat operations, the general history of the plane's development and adaptation to various combat roles is highly interesting and difficult to put down.
Generous (black and white) photographs of the planes in action and on the ground are throughout the text.
For readers, the matter of fact descriptions of aerial combat in the B-24 give a greater appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who flew in them, all too often to not return home alive.
