More overtly "normal"-sounding than Twerk's two previous full-length releases, 2003's Living Vicariously Through Burnt Bread applies the computerized mind-warp of glitch to instrumental passages with the warmth and soul of classic '70s R&B and funk. One of the dominant sounds of this album is a rich, funky organ and clavinet combo that appears on most of the tracks, excepting only the brief purely electronic glitch-oriented interlude "Return to Hokkaido."
