The third of three Glenn Miller CDs put out by the VJC label has three previously unreleased radio broadcasts from 1939, the period when Miller began to make it big. With Clyde Hurley contributing some trumpet solos and both Tex Beneke and Al Klink heard on tenors, this well-rounded set has a stronger dose of jazz than usual along with the usual vocals of Ray Eberle and Marion Hutton. It's a nice set of solid swing from a legendary orchestra. ~ Scott Yanow, Rovi
