Seller's Description:
Very Good+ No Jacket. Book. 8vo-over 7¾-9¾" tall. Volume one of the memoir of this early American scholar. SCARCE first printing. Pages and textblock edges are moderately browned with only minor foxing in places. The pages are crisp and clean with no writing, marks, or underlining save for a name and date on a front flyleaf. No bookplates. Spine is fairly tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. Boards show some aging, specifically some fading and bumping to the edges and spine. Gold gilt lettering on the spine has faded a bit as well, but is still legible. Boards are also relatively clean, though there are some very minor scuffs and spots. Overall this is a lovely copy. No jacket. This highly collectible, very good +, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
