Good. Engraved plates; woodcuts in-text; Large 8vo 9"-10" tall; 484 pages; 1849 George Routledge & Co. HC in quarter leather backed spine and marbled paper covered boards. Significant loss of leather over spine at ends with only a little less than half remaining with the gilt tolled tiles still present. Front board detached at joint but present. Contents soundly bound and generally clean with expected light toning, heavier foxing to the frontis engraving and much lighter foxing to the other engraved plates. Illustrated with a good many full page plates engraved by John Woods after work by Sargent and others, along with in-text woodcuts and many songs with full musical notation. Engraved plates have faint blind stamp of a London bookseller in the margins. A solid candidate for rebacking. Fair to Good only.
