This author has dredged up his own slant on history. More a study in sociology than a historical chronicle, he laments the size of history books but wants to insert another 200 pages to explain how certain people are crushed by white people especially American white people. He has a pre-ordained viewpoint and builds a support case and pastes it into history. People who love to self hate will enjoy this read. As It is, this an insult to the whole American Education system best summed up by the title. I just thank heaven I only spent 99 cents on this piece of trash.

eye opening
i read this book for a sociology class last semester....it really opened my eyes to how my perception of history was influenced by the way high school history was taught. I'd definitely recommend this one.
