Il est impossible en effet d'imaginer un personnage plus noble, plus g???n???reux que cet esclave qui, menac??? de tous les supplices lorsque l'???vasion est d???couverte, et d???j??? tout charg??? de cha???nes, compte pour rien les souffrances qui l'attendent, et sans bravade, sans forfanterie, avec une calme dignit???, accepte la mort m???me du moment o??? elle est le prix du devoir accompli.
