Near Fine in Good+ dust jacket. The authors photographed historic buildings in Monroe County, Michigan of various types: homes, churches, public buildings, etc. Chapters are devoted to various genres: log cabins, Greek Revival, Victorian, etc. Each chapter contains a short introduction (one-three pages) followed by the photos, one or two per page, and all captioned. The end papers are illustrated with a bird's eye view of Monroe in 1866. Original red cloth publisher's covers with bright gilt spine and cover lettering. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The dust jacket has marginal wear, short tears and a piece of tape over one tear on the bottom corner.; Color & B&W Photographs, Drawings; 8vo, 8"-9" tall; 114 pages.
