My 3 year old son has epilepsy and trying to explain why he keeps going to hospital was difficult. Then we found this book Lee the Rabbit with Epilepsy.
Fantastic - it is superb it explains in a really down to earth way with no mystery or funny terminology the story of Lee who has some absence seizures, then has to have an EEG and is eventually given medication to control her epilepsy.
I have recommended this book to family and friends and it's been to nursery so that my son's peers could share the story and understand why sometimes he is in hospital too.
It's really helped him approach going into hospital in an up-beat way both the unexpected times and for planned tests.
