Le jour baisse rapidement, si rapidement qu'au moment o??? commence ce r???cit, un valet de pied vient d'apporter plusieurs lampes qu'il a d???pos???es, l'une sur un vaste bureau couvert de papiers, l'autre sur un gu???ridon, la troisi???me sur un f???t de colonne. Ces lampes, par la mani???re dont elles sont plac???es, distribuent habilement leur clart???. Tout est dans l'ombre, et cependant tout se voit."
