As an intensive course this is excellent. It explains everything well. Has excellent self tests and reviews. Remember this is called "intensive", so it moves quickly and moves into advanced topics early. The Wheelock is better for an easier, slower step by step approach which is what I used in college. I used the Intensive Course as a review and grammar reference. If you are teaching yourself there are no answers to the review questions.
