Sin embargo, la diversidad a nivel riz???sfera es desconocida. ???reas alrededor de la Bah???a de La Paz en Baja California Sur, M???xico, fueron muestreadas para aislar bacterias fijadoras de nitr???geno asociadas a esta hal???fita: obteni???ndose aislamientos bacterianos. Una de las bacterias mostr??? alta actividad de reducci???n de acetileno y fue identificada como Klebsiella pneumoniae. Los efectos de K. pneumoniae se evaluaron en diferentes etapas vegetativas de S. bigelovii: germinaci???n y estado de pl???ntula de dos genotipos de S. bigelovii (genotipo silvestre y cv. 'SOS-10'), compar???ndola con la bacteria halotolerante Azospirillum halopraeferens.
