Written in French. 8vo. Quarter textured leather stamped in gilt and marbled boards. 8 chapters. 371 pages plus 44 numbered B&W photo plates printed on white slick paper. Top page edges gilt. Page foredges and bottom edges uncut. Marbled endpages. Green silk ribbon marker. Text is tight in very good condition. Clean. No date-I belive that the printing date is probably around 1870. A little wear at spine ends and corners of boards otherwise in very good condition.
