Apr???s un panorama de la condition de l'???crivain dans nos soci???t???s contemporaines et une ???tude diachronique sur cette relation souvent ???conomique du Prince et de l'???crivain, Litt???rature, pouvoir et censure sont examin???s au prisme d'???poques particuli???res, en France et en Russie: celle de l'Ancien R???gime (qui voit se d???velopper les anecdotes sur les Princes), celle de l'Empire de Russie (sur Tolsto??? et les philosophes fran???ais), celle, enfin, de Jdanov et du Comit??? central sovi???tique. Contre ces tentatives de domination, et forts du pouvoir de la litt???rature, les ???crivains ont toujours su renverser ces r???les a priori pr???d???finis.
