Meditamdo per??? sul bel monumento, studiandolo nelle sue parti, quei lavori (a tacere d' al tre inesattezze mi sembravano tutti contrastarr???e allo stile, e dubz'tai che l' essersi lasciati guidare piuttosto da una vaga tradizione che da una buona critica, avesse indotto gli autori di essi nell' errore di credere, che la fabbrica che ora vediamo, fosse in gran parte quella medesima innalzata nel secolo XI, sotto il pontificato di Alessandro II.
