Begegnung dreier antiker Kulturen. Romer - Germanen - Kelten" im Mai 2006. Hier wurde der Blick verstarkt auf die weiteren Aspekte und Bereiche des Kontakts zwischen Romern, Germanen und Kelten gerichtet. Ausgehend vom Grabungsbefund in Waldgirmes wurden politische und wirtschaftliche, religiose und kulturelle Fragen ebenso beleuchtet wie grundsatzliche Probleme, die in der Bezeichnung "Germanen" liegen. Hervorgegangen ist aus dieser Tagung der Sammelband Kontaktzone Lahn, der die die wichtigsten Untersuchungen und Ergebnisse zum Kulturkontakt zwischen Romern und germanischen Stammen zusammentragt.
