I discovered this author at my local used book store.. I was delighted with the story. I was able to capture the characters personalities right off. I liked Miriel immediately, her secret abilities gave the story an interesting twist that one does not see that often. Rand and Miriel were taken with each other right away, regardless that each had their own agendas. I was up the entire story. The end however, was okay, just didn't well, it ended abruptly and I felt there should of been a bit more to it then the acceptance of the disappearance of The Shadow and the sudden appearance of his sister. Maybe there will be more.? I loved the story and the adventure it took me on.... I look forward to reading more of Sarah McKerrigan
