Ignorance is not bliss
Two city boys go back to their roots in Iowa to grow one acre of corn amidst the millions of acres dedicated to this low nutrition mono-crop. Attempting to trace the fate of their one acre of field corn proves to be futile, of course, but in the process, the viewer becomes engaged in a balanced documentary that reveals both the wonders and the absurdity of growing a crop that is way over-produced in the US (there aren't enough bins to store last year's harvest) and how the farmer gets less $$ in the market place and more $$ from the US government welfare program that encourages farmers to grow more bushels of King Corn.
